A man who had just got married was returning home with his wife. As they were on their way back to home crossing a lake in a boat, suddenly a great storm arose. The man was very relaxed and calm but his wife was very much afraid. She thought that their situation was almost hopeless.
The boat on which they both were going was very small and the storm that came was really huge. At any moment they could have been drowned in the storm.
As much as the wife was afraid, her husband was sitting silently, calm and quiet as if nothing was happening.
His wife was trembling and she said to her husband, “Are you not afraid? This may be the last moment of our life. It doesn’t look like we are going to make it to shore. At this moment only miracle can save us otherwise we are dead.”
She continued and shouted, “Are you mad? Are you stone? Aren’t you afraid?”
After listening to his wife the man laughed and took his sword out of its sheath.
Now his wife was even more puzzled. What was he doing?
Then her husband brought the naked sword very close to his wife’s neck. So close that just a small gap was there, between sword and neck. The sword was almost touching her neck.
Now he asked, “Are you afraid?”
His wife started to laugh and said, “Why should I be afraid? You are my husband and the sword is in your hand, you are never going to hurt me and I know that you love me.”
Now, her husband put back the sword into its sheath and said, “This is my answer dear. I know GOD loves me and the storm is in His hands.
So, Whatever is going to happen is going to be. Good. If we survive good; if we don’t survive good.
Because everything is in His hands and He cannot do anything wrong..”
With many peaceful blessings
